How can meeting with an advisor help me?

Advisors are often more knowledgeable about investments, alternatives, and comprehensive solutions that may be available than someone who is not trained and experienced in the complex financial world. If there is value added by utilizing an advisor who can provide those things, then you would likely be better off meeting with one. A financial advisor can generally give you a second set of eyes to confirm you are going in the right direction, and alert you to hazards along the way. If you are not sure what direction you need to go, an advisor can help you create a financial plan or “roadmap”, to help you reach your goals.


How much does a financial plan cost?

When you meet with one of our representatives, we will discuss your current situation, and where you want to be in the future. You will be given an analysis on any current investments and a financial plan consisting of a strategy and steps that dictate how you might best reach your goals. We do not charge for this initial proposal and analysis because we believe you need to see the value of any proposition before moving forward. You also need to have all the fees, potential conflicts of interest, and other material facts disclosed upfront.


What does Estate Planning consist of?

Estate Planning is necessary to protect your assets and control their distribution upon your passing. Estate plans may consist of many components such as living trusts, wills, and insurance products to protect you from risks and for tax planning. They also allow you to predetermine how your wealth will be used to provide you with care once you are unable to make decisions on your own. The lack of a thorough and up to date estate plan can be extremely costly due to taxes and costs associated with probate. While many people wait until they amass some amount of wealth to get started, it is never too early to begin your estate plan and continue to update the proper documents as needed.


What is Retirement Planning?

Retirement planning allows you to determine how you want to live in retirement. Key components of a retirement plan include; calculating income needs, maximizing social security benefits, protecting and investing current savings, creating income for life, utilizing available tax strategies, and insuring yourself against unexpected events or illnesses.


What is Wealth Management?

Wealth Management is generally described as the practice of growing, and protecting assets, while managing taxes and income needs. There is more to it than just a percentage of stocks, bonds, and cash. Proper investment selection and investment portfolio management are essential in growing and protecting your wealth. However, estate planning and insurance may also be combined to manage risk and taxes. Comprehensive strategies allow you to keep better charge of your assets. Can I meet with an advisor with no obligation?

Absolutely! We offer prospective clients the opportunity to meet with us for a comprehensive consultation and strategy session at NO COST. This is a time to get to know each other, and see if our values and philosophies are aligned with yours. You may bring all relevant statements and documents, and all the questions you have. We will do our best to analyze your present situation and identify any existing “holes” or potential problems. What do I bring for the first meeting?

For your first meeting, we ask that you bring in your most recent financial statements (retirement accounts, investment accounts, budget, tax returns, social security reports, pension information, etc.) and any estate documents (will, trust, etc.) that need reviewed or updated. These items are useful to assess your present situation and help create a financial blueprint of where you could be.


How often will you meet with me?

We are pretty open to meet with clients as often as they need. We typically meet with our clients at least once a year for annual reviews, as well as any time a significant or life changing event occurs that impacts your retirement and estate plan, such as retirement, social security, Medicare, long term illness, budget changes, or any other reason. We can also meet with in between scheduled reviews if you feel you need a meeting or an update. Updates and reports are frequently sent to you, as well as our regular newsletters and invitations to our annual client events.


Am I qualified to become a client?

We offer high-level, comprehensive professional financial services. We are willing to work with anyone who is serious about their goals, providing that they can benefit significantly from our services. Not all of our services are suitable for everyone we meet.
